My husband and I decided to adopt another cat after one of our 2 cats died. Dewey, the cat left behind, was distraught and really needed a companion. After a couple weeks of searching for just the right kitty, we came to visit the NHA. We stopped by and visited with 6 month old Pixel (then known as Kaya). I fell in love with her the instant she started to give me little "love nips" on my chin. We played with her and decided to go home and think about it. A little while later we had decided that she was most definitely the kitty for us. It's been almost a year now and her favorite games are still sheet monster (she still hasn't figured out that SHE'S the monster) and chasing her big brother, Dewey.
