Aurora
clear

This summer, I volunteered here. I finally managed to convince my dad to let us adopt another dog, but he didn't want the one I wanted. I wanted a puppy named Aurora. She wasn't really a puppy, she was already pretty big. We think she's about 6/7 months old now. Anyway, the day we went in there to finally adopt a dog, the one my dad wanted had already been adopted, and he was discouraged but I wasn't because for the past few weeks, I had been spending long amounts of time just sitting with Aurora in her cage. She was so awesome. Anyway, I spent an hour that day convincing my dad that we should get her and he finally gave in. That was in late July or early August and she's doing really great. She has a ton of personality. Thanks.

Annabelle
clear

Woof! (Hello in Dog)

I couldn't be happier here! Since coming to live at my new home I get to do all sorts of things that other dogs dream of. My mommy loves to run so I get to run about 12 miles a week and my daddy takes me to the dog park where I get to play with friends. But my favorite thing to do is take a nap on the couch with mommy after she's had a long day teaching those rowdy 7th graders. She says I really help her relax. As you can see, I have a really great life.

Thank you for making my new life possible. I couldn't be happier.
Love always,
Annabelle (owner of Justin and Callie Haraway)

Ringo
clear

Ringo(left)and Angel are best buddies. I adopted Ringo (aka Remy) from the Nashville Humane Association in February 2005. He has adjusted well to his new home and to his three sisters! He now weighs 9.5 lbs; he weighed only 6 lbs. when I adopted him.

Snoopy
clear

We adopted Snoopy (formerly "Eddie") a Jack Russell/Italian Greyhound, in March 2005. He is enjoying his new home and thinks he owns the farm. He runs through the fields and and investigates everything that makes a sound. He likes to chase moles and when he caught one, he tried to play with it just like a puppy would.

We appreciate the Nashville Humane Association for letting us have Snoopy.
Thanks again,
William and Jo Ann Cravens

Kaspian
clear

I adopted a kitten named Mortimer from the shelter last September. He didn't look like much of a Mortimer to me, but he somehow looked like a Kaspian, so that's what we've called him since the ride home from the shelter. He just celebrated his 1st birthday (he was 3 months old when I adopted him) and I wanted to share with you how gorgeous, healthy and happy he has been in his new home.

Thank you for all that you do!
