Please meet our dog, Lilly who was adopted from the Nashville Humane Association in April 2010. We had just lost one of our dogs, Chester, after having him for 17 wonderful years. Lonliness cannot express what we, along with our dog Lucy, were feeleing. I thought I would go "just to look" at what the shelter had to offer.

After looking at a lot of dogs, we came to Lilly's cage. She was not barking or jumping like the other dogs were. She just sat there pleading with her beautiful brown eyes. My heart, as well as my mother's and nieces, Chloe and Alley, instantly melted.

We took her for a walk and before that walk was over my mother and I were both crying with happiness! I called my husband and said that "I am brining Lilly home -- tell Lucy she has a new sister!"

She is the most loving dog, and we could not have found a better match for Lucy. Thank you for the Nashville Humane Association for bringing such joy into our lives!
