After the death of our canine child left a huge hole in my family's heart, we started looking for our next puppy to love. We visited The Nashville Humane Association where we all fell for this adorable tri-color Shepherd mix, formerly known as LaLa.

Now 8 months old, Katara is our protector. She still has that puppy enthusiasm for chewing, so she "protects us" from anything with fabric on it, as well as ridding our yard of those pesky moles! Her favorite pastimes are stealing tissues to shred and watching the birds from my son's picnic table.

As you can see from the picture, she's adjusted VERY well. Traveling with us on adventures; especially back to Atlanta to see family and chasing balls and sticks all afternoon with her best buds - my son and his friends!
