The following positions are currently available:
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR Reports to: Development Director Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Education, Business, Journalism, Conflict Resolution or related field. Exceptional skills in verbal communication, writing and public speaking. Ability to manage multiple projects at once is pertinent to the success of this position. Computer knowledge and organizational skills are a must. Experience with animals helpful. Ability to work will all age groups and physically or mentally disadvantaged. Previous volunteer management desired. Ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service and will promote professional, positive conduct and demeanor within the volunteer program. Occupational Hazards: Animal hair and dandruff, possibility of domestic and wild animal bites. Exposure to potentially communicable disease, such as ringworm, rabies, etc. Applicants should be free of allergies, asthma or back problems. Duties and Responsibilities: Recruit and organize volunteers so they are utilized to the fullest benefit of the NHA staff and the animals we care for In addition to the above tasks and responsibilities, other related duties may be assigned.
