Nashville Humane Association and Mars Petcare are excited to present the 8th annual summer “Critter Camp,” with two week-long sessions in July devoted to lessons on animal safety, responsible pet ownership, pet overpopulation and careers with animals! Hands-on time with shelter dogs and cats – supervised by professional educators and trained NHA volunteers – is supplemented by interesting guest presentations, and interactive games and crafts. Lunch and snacks are provided each day. Each child receives a t-shirt and a water bottle.

Space is limited for both weeks of this free camp, and campers must commit to all five days (9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), with reliable transportation to and from the shelter located at 213 Oceola Avenue. Preference will be given to children from limited-income families, and first-time Critter Campers.

Week 2 – July 15 through July 19, 2013 – for children ages 7, 8 and 9*

*Please note: fun and educational camp curriculum has been developed for these particular age groups, so applicants must fall in that age range by the first day of camp.
